総合地球環境学研究所で実施しているSceNEプロジェクトのシンポジウムのお知らせです。

私たちはヒトとサンゴを軸に、超学際研究を進める中で、生き物や物質が持つ多様なリズムや時間のスケールに気づきました。自然環境や生命のサイクル、アートに流れる時間のスケールなど、それぞれ独自の「時間のものさし」を持っています。
このプロジェクトでは、多様な科学分野とアート、地域が交わる中で、「時間」と「空間」を合わせることで、情報の比較と理解ができることを発見しました。本シンポジウムでは、参加者間で、各分野における時間のものさしを知り、異なる時間の感覚を共有し、新たな知見と理解を深めます。

In our transdisciplinary research, with humans and corals at the center, we have become aware of the diverse rhythms and scales of time that living things and materials possess. The natural environment, life cycles, and time scales in art have their own unique and intriguing ‘time sphere.’
In this project, we discovered that the alignment of ‘time’ and ‘space’ allows for comparing and understanding information at the intersection of diverse scientific disciplines, art, and the region. In this symposium, participants will learn about the scales of time in different disciplines each other, share different senses of time, and develop new knowledge and understanding.
